                            Heroism

Heroism is to defeat the enemy. The first enemy of man is his negative thinking. He who cannot defeat his evil thoughts is not a hero. He is not a hero but a coward. He who sacrifices himself for love, who conquers the heart of another with love, is a hero. To conquer by force or power is tyranny. But to conquer by love is wisdom. Therefore, heroism is found in love, but not in power or strength. The power of love is stronger than the power of the body. The power of love is greater than the power of an army. Everything can be conquered by love. But not everything can be conquered by force or power, only a few can be conquered. Power or strength gradually weakens and betrays.

If you want a power that does not betray, be conquered by love. Then you will become a true hero.  Heroism is not killing, but saving. Killing Goliad to save people like David is heroism. But killing a brother for a piece of land is foolishness. Victory that does not aim to save is not heroism. Because heroism is more than conquering a person, it is conquering oneself. A hero is not one who destroys thousands for his own glory, for his own benefit, for his own name, but one who gives himself up to death for the honor of thousands.

Heroism is dying for truth, for love, for justice, for humanity, rather than killing. Giving life to many, but destroying the lives of many cannot be heroism at all. Heroism is not about making other scary or be frighten, but about calming and giving peace. Adventurers who love to scare are not heroes. Adventurers often have a false identity, not a real identity. But a hero is always true. He does not pretend to be praised.

He does not deny the white truth for fear of being criticized. He is always and everywhere the same. Whether he goes to Canada or Jeddah, America or South Africa, Ethiopia or Yugoslavia, there is no change for him. No matter where he is, he does not think higher or lower than his human nature. He is simply a man who is himself. Not pretending, being loyal, being self is true heroism.

Heroism is solving problems, but not creating problems. It is not heroism to burn a city. It is heroism to burn a pan like our mothers. Today, we are all worthy of honor, to a certain extent, with bread baked on a pan made by our heroic mothers. Glory to our mothers! Heroism is like this. Giving food to people to eat, denying food to people to starve is not heroism. Heroism is giving but not denying. Heroism is not conspiracy, but it is real working. Heroism is not rebelling , but it is working together. Heroism is not destroying together, but it is building together.

Heroism is not fighting each other, but killing hatred together. There is no hero in a civil war. If there is a hero, that is, who try to declare a ceasefire to stop the war. Heroism is not killing people, but killing the idea and thought of hatred. Like Abraham Lincoln, be a hero by killing the enemy not with war, but with love. If victory is achieved by force, inequality is created, justice is distorted. But if victory is achieved by love, equality prevails, justice is ensured. Let us use love, not machine guns, as weapons to ensure equality among humans in our land.

Bravery is holding hope in the middle of suffering. It is believing that behind the darkness, there is bright of light. It is believing that after illness comes health, after trouble comes solution, after anxiety comes stability, after war comes peace.

Rather than giving up on war, it is bravery to buy a ticket to move to peace. Rather than giving up on loss, it is bravery to rise up to gain. It is bravery to see opportunity in trial, elevation in bow down, honor in humiliation. It is bravery not to be hopeless when you fall, but to strive to rise again.

A true hero is not born by the abundance of war, but by the abundance of faith and hope. In love, which is inseparable from the two, faith and hope, but greater than both, the greatest hero is born.

"Faith, hope, and love abide together, but the greatest of these is love." as the Bible says.

"Heroism is not a manifestation of strength, but a manifestation of love."
